River Grove Train Station
We are proud that the safety improvements at the River Grove crossing have been completed. That includes: elimination of the original crosswalk, redirecting pedestrian traffic to a safer location, and installation of 4 new pedestrian gates as well as redesigning the surrounding area near the crossing to improve safety. Your continued support in all of these efforts have made this project successful!
The Michael S. DeLarco Foundation along with the Village of River Grove work hand-in-hand and are great partners in safety. Both continually research safety improvements that potentially could be put into place at the River Grove Station. At a recent meeting, the Foundation, Mayor May, Metra, several railways, and various officials met to discuss new technology and other safety measures and plan to regroup again in early spring. Safety at railways will always be a concern of the Michael S. DeLarco Foundation.

Alexian Brothers Women & Children’s Hospital
Michael S. DeLarco Playroom
Every month the Michael S. DeLarco Foundation provides books, games, and other items for the MSD Playroom and a Teen Room. The foundation provides pre-packaged crafts (assembled by the foundation), coloring books, journals, special occasion gifts, and various other supplies for the children to have access to while they are patients in the hospital. In addition, members of the foundation visit the hospital to decorate the MSD Playroom and the Teen Room for each season. All of this would not be possible without the generosity of our loyal supporters whom are appreciated so deeply. The Michael S. DeLarco Foundation is thrilled to be partners with the Alexian Brothers Foundation and looks forward to more opportunities within the hospital for the good of the children.
