Together, We Are Making a Difference
With sincere gratitude, we thank you for your generosity and support for your participation in the
21st Annual Michael S. DeLarco Golf Outing. It was a wonderful day! The main purpose of the outing is to come together to remember the beautiful life of Michael. Even at such a young age, he was kind, had a heart filled with love and respect for others, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. With each outing, we are touched to witness new friendships created and treasured ones growing stronger – one of the many ways we feel Michael’s spirit on this special day.
How the Proceeds Will Help. With the proceeds of just over $14,000, the Michael S. DeLarco Foundation will again be able to provide meaningful contributions for children at Ascension St. Alexius Hospital. In collaboration with Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, we will fund weekly Expressive Therapy Interventions for one year. An art or music therapist will provide one-to-one bedside support through reflective and creative therapeutic interventions designed to reduce anxiety and stress, build self-esteem, and help patients meet functional goals during acute hospitalization. Additionally, we have again partnered with Bricks of Hope to fund an upcoming LEGO delivery of 175 brand-new kits, as well as a play visit with children in the hospital. Throughout the year, the Foundation provides crafts and supplies to the Child Life department to have readily available for the children to help them stay creative, engaged, and happy. Lastly, we will also continue supporting the Schaumburg Adopt-A-Family program this holiday season.
With Heartfelt Gratitude. As with every Golf Outing, there are so many supporters to acknowledge, this includes dear family members and friends, businesses, acquaintances, as well as generous people we have not had the opportunity to meet. Thank you all so very much – words cannot fully express the gratitude we have in our hearts for all of you. The Michael S. DeLarco Foundation will always strive to carry on Michael’s gracious nature through acts of service within our community, and we greatly appreciate you joining us in this mission. Together, we are making a difference.
